A Personal Statement

My Faith

I am a Christian. I believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — and that eternal life is found through Jesus Christ alone.

What I Believe

I believe in the Trinity — God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Three persons, one God. This is the foundation of the Christian faith and the foundation of my life.

The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Every one of us. There is no person who has lived a life good enough to earn their way into Heaven — not by works, not by effort, not by being a decent person. We all fall short.

But God, in His love for us, did not leave us there. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life, to die on the cross as payment for our sins, and to rise from the dead on the third day — defeating death itself. That is the Gospel. That is the good news.

Salvation is not earned. It is a gift. Ephesians 2:8–9 says it plainly: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast."

Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." That is not an exclusive claim meant to divide — it is an open invitation. The way is available to everyone who believes.

How to Begin a Relationship with Jesus

It starts with a sincere heart — not a perfect life.

1

Acknowledge

Recognize that you have sinned and that sin separates you from God. Romans 3:23 — "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." This is not condemnation — it is honesty, and it is the starting point for every person who has ever come to faith.

2

Believe

Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died on the cross for your sins, and that God raised Him from the dead. John 3:16 — "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

3

Confess and Ask

Confess your sins to God and ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life. Romans 10:9 — "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." You do not need a priest, a church building, or a special formula. You need a sincere heart and a willing spirit.

4

Receive

1 John 1:9 — "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." When you ask, He answers. The forgiveness is real. The relationship begins.

A Simple Prayer

"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I fall short of Your glory. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that God raised You from the dead. I ask You to forgive me, come into my life, and be my Lord and Savior. I place my trust in You. Thank You for Your grace and Your love. Amen."

If you prayed that sincerely, the Bible says you are saved. Welcome to the family.
